This spring, the vast golden canola flowers of Gaochun Cittaslow have bloomed as expected. Around these golden blossoms, Gaochun Cittaslow has introduced a range of new tourism offerings, including hot pot in the flower fields, powered paragliding, hot air balloon rides, folk performances, seasonal spring delicacies, and folk music concerts. This year, Gaochun Cittaslow launched a flower hotpot party for the first time, which has become the only ‘top stream’ in spring. 60 tables form a 100-metre-long table party, where visitors can enjoy the flowers while enjoying the hotpot, taking photos and making cards, and laughing constantly, as well as watching Sichuan Opera face-changing performances and music performances.

Gaochun Cittaslow has also launched a new low-altitude flying experience - powered umbrellas and hot air balloons. Visitors, led by professionals, enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the cittaslow's spring scenery at a low altitude of 50-300 meters. Toon, spring bamboo shoots, chestnuts, snails and other seasonal vegetables enter the best period of consumption, ‘eating spring’ has become the highlight of the spring tour. Scrambled eggs with toon, roasted pork with spring bamboo shoots, spring rolls with capers, broken floss areal dumplings, mussel pot with salted meat, snail and lion meat with spring leeks, and other home-cooked dishes become the protagonists of lodgings and farm houses, which not only satisfy the taste buds but also convey the local culture.
