BOLOGNA — Just weeks after his election as the International President of Cittaslow in Greve, Filippo Sacchetti convened a special meeting with his fellow Cittaslow mayors from the Emilia Romagna region. Sacchetti, who also serves as the Mayor of Santarcangelo di Romagna, organized the gathering to officially greet the regional network and lay the groundwork for future localized collaborations.
The meeting was held at the Emilia Romagna Regional Council, made possible through the patronage and vital support of Regional Councillor Alice Parma.
Key Attendees and Network Leadership
The gathering brought together key figures from both regional governance and the international Cittaslow organization. Alongside President Sacchetti and Councillor Parma, the meeting was attended by:
Matteo Daffadà, Regional Councillor
Pier Giorgio Oliveti, Cittaslow International Secretary General
Luigi Spinazzi, Mayor of Fontanellato Cittaslow
Marco Moglia, Mayor of Borgo Val di Taro Cittaslow and Vice President of Cittaslow International
Andrea Barozzi, Vice Mayor of Baiso Cittaslow
Expanding Regional Cooperation
This assembly marks the beginning of a new chapter for the movement in Emilia Romagna. It opens up exciting new opportunities for strategic cooperation directly with the Region.
By bringing municipal leaders together at the Regional Council, President Sacchetti and the attendees are actively planning the next steps to strengthen the cohesion of Cittaslow towns across the entire regional area. These localized efforts are being carefully designed to align with and support the broader national and international goals of the Cittaslow network.
