HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER
CERTIFICATION
To achieve the status of "Cittaslow" member, a city must agree to accept the principles of the Cittaslow Charter and work to improve conviviality and preserve the local environment.
When a city becomes a Cittaslow, some of the Association's objectives may already be part of its heritage; others can always be introduced over time, often drawing inspiration from programmes implemented in other member cities.
Examples of initiatives already in place across the network include recycling projects, Slow Food Presidia, after-school programmes, and visitor information designed to offer tourists a genuine "local" experience.
