La Orotava Cittaslow Unveils the International Festival 2026

Celebrating sustainable tourism, local culture, and the art of living unhurriedly on September 25th.

We are thrilled to unveil the official image for the II International La Orotava Cittaslow Festival 2026! The town is getting ready to breathe, feel, and taste the philosophy of care and calmness in an edition that will undoubtedly make history.

Taking place on Friday, September 25th, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the vibrant Plaza de la Constitución (Free Entry), this event invites everyone to embrace the slow life.

This year, we are crossing bridges and officially twinning with the beautiful municipality of Bubión (Granada), marking the very first official meeting between municipalities of the Spanish national Cittaslow network.

What awaits you in this second edition?

• World Tourism Day: The Plaza de la Constitución will serve as the heart of the town's official events to celebrate sustainable, conscious tourism that deeply cares for its roots.

• Slow Education: Students from La Orotava will learn the true value of food through gastronomy workshops led by CanBio Comunidad Slow Food.

• Growing Together: We will be awarding the official Cittaslow badge to new local establishments that are joining our network, committing to a higher quality of life.

• “Las Ventitas” Km0 Fair: The ultimate meeting point to connect with our local producers, artisans, and shops. Come and experience the authentic, unhurried taste of our land.

• Km0 Music, Cooked Over Low Heat: The festival stage will be filled with top-tier local talent. Enjoy the cozy, home-like sounds of Oroval, the elegance of Nicotine Swing, and the vital energy of Caracoles.
