Gaochun Cittaslow celebrates the Chinese New Year with the 450-Table Long Street Banquet

On January 11, the Gaochun Cittaslow, in Nanjing’s Gaochun District, hosted the spectacular International Cittaslow Long Street Banquet 2026, transforming Yaxi Street into a vibrant stage of culture, food and tradition.

More than 5,000 visitors took part in the 450-table banquet, enjoying local cuisine while being immersed in colorful folk performances and the authentic atmosphere of the upcoming Chinese New Year. The event also attracted many international guests, confirming Gaochun’s role as a meeting point between local heritage and global cultural exchange within the Cittaslow network.
