Cittaslow France elects a new Executive Board at its General Assembly in Segonzac

Segonzac Cittaslow hosted the General Assembly of Cittaslow France, bringing together representatives of the French network to discuss its future and elect a new Executive Board. Cittaslow International President Filippo Sacchetti and Secretary General Pier Giorgio Oliveti travelled to Segonzac for the occasion.
Following the renewal of municipal councils, the assembly provided an opportunity for elected representatives to exchange views on the network’s priorities. Discussions focused on strengthening communication among member towns, building closer relationships and raising awareness of the initiatives developed by local communities.
Citizen participation was central to the discussion. Involving residents remains a priority for putting Cittaslow principles into practice and ensuring that the movement takes root in the everyday life of each community.
The assembly elected the following Executive Board to guide the next phase of the French network’s work:
President: Laurent Georges, Mayor of Segonzac.
Vice-Presidents: Laurent de Gaulle, Mayor of Valmondois, and Didier Pressard, Mayor of Labouheyre.
Treasurer: Alain Gaube, Mayor of Labastide d’Armagnac.
Secretary: Léa Michaud Laurichesse, Deputy Mayor of Segonzac.
Deputy Secretary: Mélanie Mouchon Bertacchi, Municipal Councillor in Segonzac.
The newly elected board will continue this collective effort, with communication, cooperation between municipalities and citizen involvement at the heart of its work.
Cittaslow International thanks the host town, participating representatives and everyone who contributed to organising the assembly, and wishes the new Executive Board every success in its work.
