Cittaslow Corea Network and 2026 World Island Exhibition Yeosu Korea Committee sign MOU

On March 25th, the Cittaslow Corea Network signed MOU with 2026 World Island Exhibition Yeosu Korea to cooperate with each other for successful exhibition. The vice president of Cittaslow International and the coordinator of the Cittaslow Corea Network bon son and Deputy mayor of Yeosu, the acting co-chairman Jung Hyeon-gu and co-chairman Park Soo-gwan of the World Island committee signed MOU and took a commemorative picture together.

2026 World Island Exhibition Yeosu Korea, the first exhibition themed on the island in the world, will be held from September 5th to November 4th, is place to bring the various cultures of island cities from the world to share their thoughts on the future of marine environment for our sustainable future.

Thanks to the support from Cittaslow International, the Cittaslow Corea Network invited some cittaslow Island cities and finally it's confirmed participation of Nicolosi (Italy), Gökçeada(Turkiye), La Orotava(Spain) and the Cittaslow International HQ. From September 5th to October 4^th (for one month), we and invited cities will operate exhibition booth in order to promote their city, for example, showcasing the history and culture of their islands through exhibits, artworks, and specialies.
