On 11 September 2025, the small village of San Gusmè, in the heart of Chianti, will host a conference entitled “Artificial Intelligence: the Technological Revolution at the Service of Communities.”The event offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the relationship between innovation, local territories, and quality of life, fully embracing the Cittaslow philosophy.
Held in Piazza Castelli in Castelnuovo Berardenga, the meeting will bring together leading figures from academia, institutions, and businesses to explore how artificial intelligence can support professions, improve services, and contribute to the enhancement of local communities.
Program Highlights
The event will begin at 3:30 p.m. with institutional greetings from the Mayor of Castelnuovo Berardenga, Fabrizio Nepi, along with representatives of Siena’s professional associations.
Three thematic sessions will follow:
The Evolution of Professions: from precision agriculture to assisted design, with contributions from Adriano Cerocchi and Marco Gori (SAILAB – University of Siena).
Utilities and New Challenges: a dialogue among the presidents of Acquedotto del Fiora, Sei Toscana, Estra, and Sienambiente on how technology and digitalization can improve essential public services.
Perspectives on the Landscape: reflections on memory, art, heritage, and innovation, featuring Monica Bernardi, Gabriele Nannetti, and other distinguished guests such as Mauro Rosati (Qualivita Foundation) and Paolo Cuccia (Gambero Rosso).
The day will conclude with a dinner and live concert on the Belvedere at 8:30 p.m., organized by the San Gusmè community. The evening will feature local wines, products from the “Orto Felice”, and live music by the band Brick Road.
