'Warm solidarity between Korean cittaslow towns’

Cittaslow Wando donated relief supplies for Wildfire Victims in Cittaslow Yeongyang, Cheongsong, and Hadong

Cittaslow Wando (Mayor Woochul Shin) donated relief supplies for huge wildfire victims in Cittaslow Yeongyang, Cheongsong, and Hadong. Relief supplies were prepared to be supported Korean three cittaslow cities which was declared as wildfire disaster area. This support by Wando is to help cittaslow neighbor cities that have joined the International Cittaslow. On Apr. 7, Wando delivered 10,800 'Seaweed Noodles' and it will be immediately distributed to victims who are having difficulty in their daily lives due to the damage from the forest fires.

Three cittastown’s mayors and public officiers were deeply grateful for the sincere support of Wando and this warm solidarity shown in the relationship of Cittaslow. The donation of relief goods is a good example of how valuable community power is, as it shows that ties and cooperation between local governments continue even in disaster situations.
