La Vita Selvatica – A Festival of Nature and Culture in Baiso

In the heart of the Reggio Emilia Apennines, a small village surrounded by chestnut groves and woodlands will once again come alive with ideas, art, and community. On Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, 2025, the charming hamlet of Castagneto di Baiso will host the new edition of “La Vita Selvatica – Living Side by Side with Nature”, a naturalistic and cultural festival dedicated to reimagining the relationship between people and the environment.

A Festival in a Unique Setting

Castagneto is no ordinary village. Overlooking the dramatic badlands of Baiso, it is home to a “diffused museum” created by sculptor Vasco Montecchi, who opened his birthplace and works to the public.
