Untouched wonderful natural environment

Cheongsong is more eco-friendly, because 80% of the area is woodland and there are abundant pine trees (Cheong-song named after pine trees: ‘Cheong’ means green; ‘Song’ is a pine tree). One of the most attractive places in Cheongsong is Mt. Juwangsan National Park, where Jusanj Pond is located and about twenty 150-year-old Korean King willows growing in the pond create an incredible scenic beauty. In the early morning hours, when fog covers the pond surface, the view is beyond surreal. This pond is also famous for the movie "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring" where Kim Ki-Deok, a world renowned director depicted the picturesque four seasons of the pond. Cheongsong’s slogan is “Song of Nature,” and the city is trying different approaches to shape a eco village and slow town.
