UKRAINE REFUGEES SOLIDARITY FUND RAISING

In one month the tragedy of the war in Europe changed our perception of the world and the perspective of our work and planning for the second time in a few years. Over two and a half million refugees have fled Ukraine and most of them are still in neighboring Poland. There are 35 Cittaslows in Poland and many are in border regions to the east.

President of Cittaslow International, Mauro Migliorini, Mayor of Asolo (I), to respond in some way to the request for help that came to us from the Polish Network of Cittaslow where the Vice-President, Jacek Kostka as Mayor of the city of Górowo Iławeckie coordinates relief efforts in Ukraine and support for refugees in Poland, has set up a bank account to raise funds from citizens and Cittaslow administrations. The current account was donated at no cost by our Central Bank.

We know that each of you is working in various ways to give a sign of solidarity through your municipality and national and international organizations.
