BRUXELLES (B) - POLISH EASTERN REGIONS HOUSE AND EU PARLIAMENT: A PICTURES EXHIBITION TO SHOW RESULTS OF THE IMPORTANT REVITALIZATION PROJECT IN WARMIA MAZURIA CITTASLOW TOWNS.
The implementation of the "Supralocal Cittaslow Cities Revitalization Program in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship" is coming to an end. Thanks to the kindness of the Marshal of the Province, Gustaw Marek Brzezin, we were able to present the effects of the implementation of this program, captured in beautiful photographs in Brussels, in the House of Eastern Poland.
The program, which was supported with the amount of over EUR 51 million from the EU funds, consists of 99 projects implemented by 19 municipalities. The opening of the exhibition was prepared by Małgorzata Wasilenko, Director of the Office of our voivodeship in Brussels. The event was graced by many distinguished guests, including Wolfgang Münch, who, as the head of the Polish department in DG REGIO, participated in negotiating the EU support for our project, Pier Giorgio Oliveti, Secretary General of the International Cittaslow Network Office in Orvieto, MEPs: Adam Jarubas, Krzysztof Hetman, Jarosław Kalinowski, Provincial Marshals: Mieczysław Struk, Władysław Ortyl, Adam Struzik, numerous representatives of EU institutions from Brussels. The Association was represented by the Mayors: Barczewo - Andrzej Maciejewski, Biskupca - Kamil Kozłowski, Braniewa - Tomasz Sielicki, Dobre Miasto - Jarosław Kowalski and Górowa Iławecki, President of the Association - Jacek Kostka. And the best summary of the impression our program makes is the words of Director Munch: "I was skeptical, but I can see that you made it”.
