Lac-Mégantic, the only municipality certified as a “slow city” in Quebec

After the "villes douces", here is the journalist Hélène Mercier interested in the slow cities which have received the Cittaslow certification - a contraction of the Italian word città, which means “city”, and of the English slow. There are 272 all over the world, and Lac-Mégantic is the only municipality in Quebec to have obtained this certification. Our collaborator explains what the long journey to becoming a Cittaslow town consists of, and why it is more than just a label for Lac-Mégantic.
