The activities of “2017 Sanyi International Wood Carving Art Festival- Wood Carving Art and Slow Life” will be held in Sanyi, the township of wood carving art, from October 1st to 10th. The theme is “Slow Work, Slow Life”. The Slow Life Activities, which based on exquisitely carved craftsmanship of wood carving, not only attracts more people to visit this beautiful small town, but also provide unmissable traditional arts and cultural assets.
Connecting “Slow Life” and “Wood Carving”, the theme exhibitions of activities includes “2017 Asian Art Exhibition of Youth Contemporary Wood Sculpture in Taiwan” and “2017 Taiwan International Wood Sculpture Competition”. There are a lot of activities, such as “Experience of Tea”, “Market of Wooden Art”, “Street Corner Series Connection activities”, “Depth Travel Exploration”, “Wood Carving Performance and Cittaslow Image Device”, “Slow Life in Sanyi”, and “Adopting Dinner Party”. 2017三義木雕藝術節系列活動-木藝慢活嘉年華，自10月1日起至10月10止於三義木雕之鄉辦理，以「慢工．慢活」為主題，在精雕細琢的木雕工藝下發展出的慢活運動，不僅僅是為了吸引更多人來到這個美麗的山城，三義擁有的許多傳統藝術及文化資產更是來到這裡不能錯過的。
活動主軸以「慢活」與「木雕」之間相互連結，除了「臺灣2017亞洲國際青年當代木雕大展」、「臺灣國際木雕競賽」等主題展外，更特為規劃「茶席體驗」、「木藝市集」、「街角串聯活動」、「深度旅遊探索」、「木雕表演暨慢城意象裝置」、「慢生活品三義」與「認養辦桌餐會」等豐富系列活動，同時邀請在地優秀演出團隊、國際級茶藝師，用舞蹈、音樂、茶藝，襯著三義獨特的木香，帶領民眾體驗三義慢城的文化風景與文化藝術的感動與美妙。
