Dì de la Brisaola / Brisaola day


One of the most important events in Valchiavenna is back.

The Brisaola day will take place on Sunday 2nd October in Chiavenna, the event that celebrates the typical salami and its producers.

An appointment that, year after year, has carved out its own space and a lot of attention from the public who appreciates the proposal: at the center there are the typical salami dating back to the 1400s and the producers who, today as in the past, keep the tradition. The choice of the best meats, the skill of the master craftsmen and the care taken during maturing make Brisaola a unique cured meat of exquisite goodness.

The town - already awarded the titles of "Slow City" and "Orange Flag of the Italian Touring Club" offers the public an original itinerary to discover the product made in Chiavenna.

You can taste the salami along the streets of the center, in the most beautifull corners of the village set up by local producers.
