Sangju (COREA): Experiencing medicinal herbs and cooking eco-food from white lotus

For Cittaslow Sunday the city of Sangju held an event in Golden Cow Village on September 27-28 that visitors can try medicinal plants and homeopathy, one of alternative medicine that like cures like: a substance that causes the symptoms of a disease in healthy people will cure similar symptoms in sick people. Other programs were making soap and cosmetics from herbs, picking of persimmons, and a painting contest for children.

On September 25 and October 7 and 14 an eco-food cooking class was held where participants learned how to cook eco-food like rice wrapped lotus leaf, lotus leaf salad or tea using leaves and petals of white lotus.
