Assessing the Capacity-Building Needs of Covenant Signatories

In 2014, the Covenant of Mayors has entered a new operational phase. From this year forward, one of our top priorities will be to provide Covenant Signatories with increased capacity-building support in delivering their Sustainable Energy Action Plans (SEAPs) and implementing their commitments.

Greater emphasis will thus be put on knowledge, know-how and good practices transfer. An increased number of capacity-building and peer-to-peer learning activities will support the development and implementation of SEAPs. We will also engage further with the major financial stakeholders to mobilise finance and build the financial capacity of signatories. Besides, our office will be more extensively mobilised on the ground in order to embed the Covenant better in ongoing national and regional processes, involve local experts to a greater extent and leverage the existing resources for the benefit of Covenant Signatories.

To this end, we would like to know what are, in your view, the most pressing capacity building needs and expectations of your members – as this would strongly help us to fine-tune the initiative’s work towards need-driven services and activities in the next months and years.

The questionnaire is available online here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1_xHHuX5tj-NHpndZjF2aVBSrGrB4IVRUnEqpTNn... has already been circulated among the Covenant Signatories and Coordinators. It takes no more than 5 minutes to complete - So to your keyboards!
