Community apiary

After the wonderful experience of the past year, the second theoretical and practical apiculture initiation course aimed at managing a community apiary is about to start. The course will take place in Parrano and Ficulle on Saturday or Sunday, with dates and times to be defined later, for a total of at least ten lessons of 2/3 hours, for the whole beekeeping season (April-September) in order to be able to face on the field all stages of breeding: from natural to artificial swarming, from honey extraction to pesticide treatments. In addition to the Community Apiary of Parrano, one will also be published in Ficulle. To support the group there will be the students of the past year. The realization of the course, promoted by the Municipalities of Parrano and Ficulle and by Apicoltura "La Valle del Chiani", will take into account the evolution of the pandemic and the relative regulations.
