Mehmet Karaman was born in 1965 in Erzincan Kemaliye district. After completing his primary and secondary school in Kemaliye, Karaman started his business life.

Karaman, who started his political life in the MHP, held various positions within the party. Karaman, who is still dealing with trade, is married and has two children.
