Sangju (COR): Tourism Dure project

Cittaslow Sangju and the Korea Culture & Tourism Research Institute signed the MOU to revitalize the local tourism and create benefit for the residents as “Slow Life Farming Cooperative” was selected for Tourism Dure (local development project) supported by the Korean Government and for the Care Farming project supported by the Province of Gyeongsangbuk-do. The Tourism Dure Business Agency under the institute will do consulting work for the cooperative while the provincial government and the county of Sangju will fund the establishment of care farming facilities. The project develops businesses, strengthens the travel producers' abilities, facilitates establishment and commercialization of businesses, and more. Mr. Jeong-Baek Lee, mayor of Sangju said that he hopes the care farm of the cooperative succeeds as a leading therapeutic farm that heals mind and body of people, and the county will collaborate closely on required efforts.
