SciFi Film Festival calling for Entries

SciFi Film Festival is dedicated to promoting sci fi film culture and celebrate all things science fiction, with AU$8,500 in cash prizes.

Have you made a scifi film? We are accepting submissions to the film festival of feature films, short films, music clips, documentaries, machinima and animations for a chance to gain exposure with AU$2,000 in cash prizes and awards. A selection from these submissions will be screened at our annual SciFi Film Festival. Closing date for submissions is Midnight 2 November 2014.

Writing Competition invites creative writers to submit their sci fi short story of 5000 words or less with AU$500 cash prizes and awards. The winning story is then promoted on our website and showcased to the world. Closing date for submissions is 2 November 2014.

Project SciFi film competition – This international competition offers the chance to make the SciFi film and watch it amongst peers and interested audience, on the big screen!!
Project SciFi is a 30 day competition for filmmakers, machinima makers and animators to make a 3 – 10min short film based on a randomly assigned subject and or elements.
Project SciFi begins, Friday, 3 October 2014 at 7 pm (19:00) local time in each participating city and town. It ends, on the Sunday, 2 November 2014 at 12 midnight (24:00) of that weekend local time.
SciFi Film Festival in partnership with Parramatta City Council is giving away AUD5,500 in cash prizes
The jurors will choose the best International and Australian SciFi film from which one will be awarded to the 2014 Project SciFi Best Film
