LEFKE DATE FESTIVAL

The 7th Lefke Date Festival was helded on 30 October 2016 at historical Cover Market of Lefke. Lefke is the greenest corner of Northern Cyprus, surrounded with plenty amount of walnut, citrus gardens and date trees.

There are more than 2000 Date trees in Lefke.  Date, local products and handcrafts were displayed and were on sale during the event organised by municipality of Lefke and Lefke Tourism Association.

Delivering an opening speechs of Mr. Aziz Kaya ( Mayor of Lefke) and Hasan Karlıtaş (chairman of Lefke Tourism Association), underlined the importance of cittaslow philosphy and sustainable tourism development of Lefke region.
