Alphen – Chaam part of Cultural Capital 2018?

Alphen - Chaam is asked to develop a concept in which a rural municipality, like us, can develop its cultural strength in a way we can reach a level which is worthy to be part of a cultural capital program.

The province of North Brabant is paying over € 100.000,00 to make this happen. Alphen - Chaam is selected due to the fact we have a history in creating open air plays which attract a big audience, combined with the fact we are Cittaslow. So a big first financial pay off. Our ambition is to create a concept and a program based on the identity of Alphen - Chaam.

We would like to come into contact with other Cittaslow members who are active in this field. Maybe, you being our partners, can come up with great ideas which we can adapt and use in our concept.
