Close to Florence, Arezzo and Siena, the Bucine County Council Territori is snuggled between the fringes of the Chianti hills and the upper Arno Valley, along the course of the Rivier Ambra. Settlements traced back to the Etruscan-Roman period imply that Bucine had an important role as a border territory. In medieval times the powerful families who possesed land along the rigorous hills determined the fate of the present county. To pass through land signifies breathing in the atmosphere of past times, touched by the presence of its towers, of its castles, of its hamlets and its abbeys. It is impossible to not become enchanted, captured by the simplicity of the rural life, where history, art and tradition live in symbiosis with surrounding landscape.
