Bailey Hill Festival 2018 in Mold

Mold

Sunday 10 June from 1pm to 6pm

Bailey Hill, at the top of the High Street in Mold, will be the venue for a fantastic afternoon of live music and entertainment from 1pm to 6pm, with a great line up of bands and dancers performing on the Inner Bailey main stage, and further entertainment on the Outer Bailey. The Festival will be a jam-packed afternoon of activities for people to enjoy.

This family friendly event on Sunday 10 June is regarded as one of the cultural highlights of the festival calendar in Mold. There will be a full programme of music and dance performed live on the Inner Bailey main stage, showcasing a wealth of local performers from the area.

There’s a real outdoor adventure treat planned for Festival visitors to enjoy on the Outer Bailey, with North Wales Wildlife Trust and Wild Elements forest school activities. During the afternoon magician Jay Gatling will be performing in the Outer Bailey pagoda, and there will also be entrancing storytelling and bi-lingual toddler yoga there.

Cittaslow Mold organises the Festival, which is on two sites across Bailey Hill, and in the hall of Kings Christian Centre. There will be entertainment all afternoon on the Inner Bailey along with free activities to try out, such as circus skills, children’s creative workshops, guided heritage tours of the historic monument and several stalls.

Delicious home-made cakes, and refreshments will be on sale in Kings Christian Centre hall by the entrance to Bailey Hill. This year they are being made by the Flintshire Foodbank team with all proceeds used to support the Foodbank.

The annual Festival is the flagship event held on Bailey Hill. It attracts hundreds of people to Mold’s Scheduled Ancient Monument, which is the birthplace of the Town and was the scene of years of conflict from the 11th century.

Tickets, at the gate on the day, are £4 for adults and free for children under 16 years of age. The closest car park is Griffiths Square off Clayton Road, behind the top of the High Street, and car parking on Sunday is free of charge.

Come along with your friends and family. Bring a picnic and your own seats or blankets to sit on, to relax and soak up the atmosphere.
